Vision Zero South West

L2L are very proud to be a member organisation of Vision Zero South West, a collaborative project between a number of organisations across Devon and Cornwall who have the joint goal of cutting road deaths and serious injury to zero by 2040.

We have been able to successfully bid for funding from Vision Zero South West to help us to further L2L's offer for young people in Devon.

We are very proud to have worked with our schools and colleges in Devon between 2019 and 2021 to assist the latest research conducted by Elizabeth Box at the RAC Foundation and Cranfield University. The research looked at the most effective ways to change the behaviour of young people on the roads to keep them safer. The results are now published and the recommendations within it are what L2L will aspire to design our interventions around.

A cluster randomised controlled trial (cRCT) evaluation of a pre-driver education intervention using the Theory of Planned Behaviour - ScienceDirect

As part of the research an educational film called DriveFit was created. This follows all best practice and evidence based educational theory and can be watched on the DriveFit website: DriveFit - www.drivefit.info

L2L uses some of the clips from this film in their own intervention.
